National Grid Pylon Consultation Update
National Grid have advised that they have put back the closing date for responses on the statutory consultation for the Norwich to Tilbury route from 18thJune to midnight on Friday 26th July, due to the announcement of the General Election.
Whilst the Parish Council response is already in preparation it means we have another chance to consider the matter further at our next meeting on 2nd July before finalising, and this will hopefully allow sufficient time between 2nd and 26th to disseminate some of the key points for residents to incorporate in their personal responses to National Grid. The Parish would also like to receive any detailed knowledge from residents about the impact and harm along the route through Aldham. If you have information about key wildlife habitats, particularly flora and fauna, that may be affected please share with us so it can be incorporated into the Parish response (via clerk [at] aldhamparishcouncil.gov.uk (subject: Pylon%20affected%20areas%20in%20Aldham) )
Please also note that the Parish Council hold AO (Large) size plans of the route at a scale of 1:2500 in hard copy. If you would like the opportunity to view these between now and 26th July please let the Clerk know and we will endeavour to make them available at a convenient time and place.
We continue to urge all residents to make their own responses to the consultation via contact [at] n-t.nationalgrid.com (subject: N%20to%20T%20Response)
